Organizing Notes
Let AI handle the everyday organization: capture your notes, describe the pages you want, and let Mikipage find what belongs. Manual organization should be occasional—for decisions such as sharing notes with a group, or overriding which notes AI includes on a page.
Stack is a temporary collection of notes to act on together. It is not a folder or a permanent organization structure: gather notes, do what you need, then clear the collection.
Selecting notes
- Press and hold a note row or card until it is highlighted, then release. This adds the note to Stack and starts selection mode.
- Click or tap additional notes to select or deselect them. While selection mode is active, this changes the collection instead of opening the note.
- Click elsewhere, press Escape, or navigate to leave selection mode.
On desktop, you can also drag a note from the notes list onto the floating Stack button. The button appears while you drag, even if Stack is empty.
Leaving selection mode does not empty Stack. Collected notes remain as you navigate between Personal and group spaces, and after reloading. The collection is saved in the same browser, separately for each signed-in user.
Reviewing Stack
Open the floating Stack button to review the collected notes, newest first. Use the × beside a note to remove just that entry, or Clear to empty the collection. Removing entries or clearing Stack does not delete the notes.
A note that cannot currently be read appears as Unavailable and is left in Stack for you to remove. It is not included in batch actions.
Acting on several notes
Stack shows how many notes each action can act on, with reasons for skipping the others. For example, Star 3 with 2 aren't yours stars three notes and leaves the other two unchanged. An action with no eligible notes is disabled.
- Star / Unstar and Archive / Unarchive work only on notes you own. If all your collected notes already have the flag, the button offers to undo it; otherwise it turns the flag on for all of them. Starring unarchives a note, and archiving unstars it.
- Share to the current group is available after you switch to a group space. It shares only your own non-empty notes that are not already shared there. Other people's notes, empty notes, and notes already shared to that group are skipped.
- Add to the currently open page pins the eligible notes to that page. Open the destination page before opening Stack. A personal page accepts only your own notes; a group page accepts only notes already shared to its group, including other members' notes. Share your personal notes to the group first if needed.
The result shows how many notes the action changed and whether any failed. By default, Stack stays collected so you can apply several actions to the same notes.
Clear stack after action is off by default. Turn it on to clear the entire collection and close Stack after an action completes without failures. This also removes skipped entries from the collection; it does not delete their notes. If any action fails, Stack stays so you can review the result.
Example: share several personal notes with a group
- In Personal, press and hold the first note, release, then select the other notes you want to share.
- Switch to the destination group space. Selection mode ends, but Stack stays collected.
- Open the floating Stack button and check the eligible count and any skip reasons.
- Choose Share … to [group name] to share the eligible notes together.
Inserting references
In the Markdown editor, choose Insert → Note reference to pick from Stack. Tap a note to insert its reference, or use Insert all. The note being edited and unavailable notes cannot be inserted. Remove from stack after inserting starts on and removes only the entries you insert; turn it off to keep them collected.
