Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Knowsun LLC ("Knowsun", "we", "us"), the company that operates Mikipage (mikipage.com, api.mikipage.com, and the Mikipage MCP server, API and SDK, together the "Service"). Mikipage is a product of Knowsun LLC, and charges for it come from Knowsun LLC.

By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you accept them for that organization too, and you confirm you have the authority to do so. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

We have kept the important parts in plain language. Where a section is in capitals, that is because the law expects those parts to be conspicuous. They matter, so please read them.

1. Mikipage is in alpha

Mikipage is pre-release software, still being built. In practice that means:

Things will change. Features, limits, plans and prices may be added, changed or removed, sometimes with little notice. [1] describes what is different right now.
Things may break. You may hit bugs, downtime, slow responses or AI output that is wrong. We have no uptime commitment or service-level agreement.
Keep your own copy. We back up our systems, but you should not rely on Mikipage as the only copy of anything you can't afford to lose. Every plan includes one-button export (Account → Plan & usage), and the [2] reaches all of your data.

2. Your account

Mikipage is made for families, and children are welcome to read what their family shares with them. The Service is not directed to children, though. A minor may use it only with the guidance, supervision and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for the child's use. Consistent with applicable law, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. If you believe a child is using Mikipage without it, write to support@mikipage.com and we will remove the account.
Only an adult may buy a paid plan.
Give us accurate sign-up information and keep it current. Keep your password secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account, its API keys and the AI assistants you connect to it.
Tell us right away at support@mikipage.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. Your content

Your notes are yours. You keep all ownership of what you put into Mikipage: notes, attachments, page instructions, and the pages generated from them ("Your Content").

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, index, transmit and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you. That includes sending it to the service providers that do that work: hosting, search indexing and AI model providers, as described in [3]. When you share content with a group or publish it to the public, the licence extends to showing it to the people you shared it with. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups, which expire on their normal schedule.

We don't sell Your Content, rent it out, or use it for advertising. [4] sets out exactly what we will and won't do with it.

You are responsible for Your Content. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that it doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.

4. AI-generated content

Mikipage uses AI models to build pages, suggest pages, match notes and answer chat. AI output can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, and it can misstate what your notes say. Check anything important against the notes it came from before you rely on it. Don't use AI output as legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.

Groups and public pages let other people see your content. What you publish publicly can be read, copied and indexed by anyone, including search engines, and we can't recall copies other people have already made. Check before you share.

Notes that other members put in a group are their content, not yours. Pages built over a group draw on other members' notes, so treat them with the same care.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

break the law, or help anyone else break it;
upload content that infringes someone's intellectual property or privacy, or that is defamatory, harassing, sexually exploits minors, or promotes violence;
send spam, malware or phishing, or use public pages to host them;
access other people's accounts or data without permission, or probe, scan or attack the Service's security (report security issues to support@mikipage.com instead; see [4]);
overload the Service, get around its limits ([5]), or scrape it beyond what the [2] provides;
resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product.

7. Plans, payment and AI credits

Free plan. The Free plan costs nothing. Its limits are in [6] and may change during the alpha.
Paid plans. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, our payment processor, for the period and price you choose at checkout. They renew automatically at the same price for the same period until you cancel. You authorize us to charge your payment method for each renewal.
Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you before your next renewal, and the new price applies only from that renewal. You can cancel before it does.
Cancelling. Cancel at any time under Account → Plan & usage → Manage billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you paid for, and cancelling never deletes your content.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. If something went wrong, write to support@mikipage.com and we will consider a refund case by case.
AI credits. AI credits are a prepaid allowance for AI work done on your behalf. They have no cash value, can't be transferred, and aren't refundable. We may change how many credits a task consumes.
Taxes. Prices exclude applicable sales and similar taxes unless stated otherwise.

Your payment details are handled by Stripe, under Stripe's own terms. We never see or store your full card number.

8. Our property

The Service itself, including its software, design, the Mikipage name and logo, and the documentation, belongs to Knowsun LLC and its licensors. These terms give you the right to use the Service, not to own any part of it. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Mikipage at any time. To delete your account and data, follow [4]. Export what you want to keep first.

We may suspend or close your account, or remove content, if you break these terms, if your use puts the Service or other users at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

We may also discontinue the Service. If we do, we will give you notice and time to export your data, as described in [7].

Sections 3 (your responsibility for Your Content), 4, and 8 through 13 survive termination.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PRE-RELEASE SOFTWARE AND IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:

KNOWSUN LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, AND (B) US $50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against Knowsun LLC because of Your Content or your breach of these terms, you will defend us against it and cover the losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) that result.

13. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute is to be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and we both consent to their jurisdiction. Before starting any formal claim, please write to support@mikipage.com. Most problems can be solved that way.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, especially while Mikipage is pre-release. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, stop using the Service and cancel any paid plan.

15. Everything else

These terms, together with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't waived it.
You can't transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the Service.
Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events outside reasonable control.
